Winter Concert at Mission

La Purísima

featuring the Cabrillo High School Madrigal Singers.

Over 500 luminaries lead the way to an evening of candlelight and music celebrating the anniversary of the founding of La Purísima Mission in 1787. We celebrate this event every year, rain or shine on the anniversary date, December 8. Enjoy the musical performance by a local group in the setting of the candlelit historic church. After the performance, guests are invited to La Sala to enjoy fellowship and refreshments. Tickets are $ 15 each . Seating at the event is very limited.

Attendance is encouraged for all 6 years and older. To enhance the mood and ambience of the concert, photography is best before and after the performance only. Assistance from the parking lot to the church is available to those with limited mobility.

The doors of the church will open at 6:30pm to welcome guests for the annual Winter Concert which begins at 7:00pm. The Cabrillo High School Madrigals are returning to perform festive holiday music of the mission era along with many traditional favorites. Following the concert guests will move to La Sala to enjoy fellowship and refreshments.

Important details:

The church is not heated, transport to the church and back is available for those needing assistance, floors and walkways are uneven, and pathways through the grounds are illuminated by lanterns. The event will go on rain or moonshine.
